Before South Pointe OpensThe current transportation arrangements will continue until the opening
of South Pointe School in January 2017, with amendments as follows: English Language Program students residing in the South Pointe School catchment area will be transported as follows:
Interim BusingRe: Intersection of Waverley and John Angus-Tim Sale Drive
Until there is a controlled intersection at Waverley Street and John Angus-Tim Sale Drive,kindergarten to grade 6 students living north of Waverley will be bused to École South Pointe School when the new building opens in early 2017. Other grades will be transported on a seat sale basis. This school bus service will end when the City of Winnipeg installs stop lights, stop signs or other traffic controls that ensure the safety of students. Pembina Trails School Division has asked city officials to install traffic controls at the intersection. Crossing guards will be located at the intersection when the traffic controls are in place. |
After South Pointe OpensThe following plan is consistent with Pembina Trails board policy which addresses transportation services.
English Language Program students
The following, temporary, provision is a variance from board policy: Transportation service to South Pointe School will be provided from the opening of South Pointe School until June 30, 2017, to students attending the following daycares:
